SRG is currently recruiting a NATIONAL ACCOUNT MANAGER specializing in Mass Retail for MTD located in Kitchener, Ontario. What you can expect to do in this role:
*Present Lawn & Garden and Snow Programs at minimum twice annually, based on assigned accounts. Follow up on a regular basis with assigned account buyers using a planned agenda and key strategic questions.
*Collaborate with the Mass Sales Team to coordinate each season s product matrix in order to meet sales targets. Work with Product Manager to develop specific customer line-ups.
*Work closely with Finance, Customer Service and Credit to create and review forecasts, rebate programs and credit concerns. Responsible to ensure they are on schedule, payments are being made and within budget on a monthly basis. Based on a standard planned agenda, meet with the Customer Service Manager, Manager of Finance & Administration and the Corporate Credit Manager to review and communicate concerns.
*Communicate in a timely manner (prior to orders being placed); all approved seasonal product line ups to the Customer Service Manager, Marketing Director and other applicable areas
*Resolve customer issues by communicating and collaborating with the Mass Sales Team, Merchandising Team and Customer Service Team.
*Identify key stores within assigned accounts and communicate to the Manager of Parts & Service Representatives each season with clear deadlines for executing POP plans. Work with Marketing to identify marketing needs in a timely manner to ensure deadlines are met.
*Interpret Customer Sales Feed Data, Ad Matrix, Market Share Analysis and OPEI data.
*Execute Request for Quote exercise for assigned accounts.
*Manage and coordinate the sale of obsolete inventory in all categories, i.E. Mowers, riders, snow, hand held etc. To be organized with pictures and pricing prior to each season.
*Host and accompany account buyer at trade shows, field store visits, as required.
*Participate and deliver Product Knowledge (PK) training to assigned accounts as required. Apply knowledge and best practices to ensure a consistent message is being presented
This could be the job for you if you have the minimum requirements listed below:
*Bachelor's degree (B. A.) or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training in a Senior Account Manager role working with Canadian National Retail Chains; or equivalent combination of education and experience
*Industry experience would be an asset
*Strong communication skills
*Flexible, Team player, Sales & Negotiation experience
*Familiar with administrative functions as applicable to the role (excel, word, Powerpoint, etc.)
